What is Acupuncture?

iStock_000015478235_ExtraSmallThis thousands-year-old ancient Chinese health care system uses fine needles in the size of your hair, inserted into the skin at precise points to restore the flow of qi or life energy. The purpose is to remove blockage along the 14 channels in your body, allowing qi to flow and restore harmony between the bodies’ opposing forces of yin and yang. Acupuncturists may also include adjunctive procedures such as cupping, moxibustion, electrical stimulation, heat lamp, or herbs to aid in your treatment.

Acupuncture is the oldest form of holistic health care in the world

What is Chiropractic?

A hands-on approach health care system focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous system. Spinal adjustment is the main form of treatment. It is accomplished by manually applying a controlled force into specific joints to restore joint mobility, thereby freeing the nerve force necessary to heal and keep you healthy, as nature intended. Chiropractors use x-ray imaging, physical examination, and clinical laboratory services to help find the underlying cause of your condition. Chiropractors also use adjunctive procedures, such as electrical muscle stimulation, traction, therapeutic ultrasound, hot and cold packs, and rehab exercises to aid in your treatment plan.
